Up Close to Niagara Falls

Photo Originally Taken on April 23rd, 2006

Yesterday we saw Niagara Falls from a distance. Today, we get to see it up-close. This was, again, taken from the Canadian side. At the time, I was on one of the boats that rides so close to the falls you have to wear a rain poncho.

AnonymousMaid of the Mist! Did you have to wrap your camera in something? I saw the photographers at the theme parks in Orlando have wraps for their cameras. I suppose it rains there a lot, so they need to protect the gear all of the time!ReplyCancel

AnonymousYes! That’s what it was called, for the life of me, I couldn’t remember. I actually didn’t wrap it. At the time I was using a point-and-shoot, the only thing I used to really guard it was the poncho. Haha, it does indeed rain a lot in Orlando. My family and I always joke that it rains for at least 10 minutes every day there and then stops for the rest of the day. I could see needing to have camera wraps at all times in Orlando!ReplyCancel

AnonymousNiagara Falls is a great place to visit–I grew up about an hour from them on the US side! 🙂 Did you happen to see the pictures of the falls when they froze in January? Absolutely unreal.ReplyCancel

AnonymousI love this photo! I’ve never been to Niagra Falls – ridiculous, I know, especially since I live in the Northeast – but this is the kind of photo that makes me want to jump in the car and go, even if it is below zero there at the moment. Stopping by from SITS Girls Comment Love Tribe. Have a great day!ReplyCancel

AnonymousI have been told that the Canadian side is prettier, but I’m not sure how that could be. I would imagine it would look amazing from both sides. I’ll have to find out myself one day!ReplyCancel
