Today’s letter is “H” and what else would I use to represent “H” than a hippopotamus! The hippopotamus is one of my brother’s favorite animals, which was something I learned not too long ago actually. When the hubby and I visited the Camden Aquarium, we had the opportunity to watch them feed the hippopotami. This hippopotamus was on its way to eat. And yes, I realize I said “hippopotamus” a lot in this post and it’s because I like the word.

AnonymousHippos are definitely one of those larger animals that I haven’t seen much of at all- and you got to see them at an aquarium? So cool!ReplyCancel

AnonymousThey actually had, I think, three hippos there that day. It was really cool, I had never seen one that close before. There was just some glass separating us depending on where you were standing.ReplyCancel

AnonymousI used to go to that aquarium but I don’t remember ever seeing hippos. So cool! I’ve heard they’re really vicious and mean in person and that you do not want to see them in the wild!ReplyCancel

AnonymousThey were really cool, but also rather stinky, haha. I’ve heard that too, actually! They don’t look that vicious, but I guess no matter what the animal, you have to be careful just in case.ReplyCancel

AnonymousLook at that guy! I’d like to see one of them in real life one of these days, one that doesn’t eat marbles.ReplyCancel

AnonymousHaha, I remember that game, but I haven’t played in forever! It was quite the experience though–especially because we got to see them being fed. It was amazing.ReplyCancel

AnonymousYes… it is a great word. I’ve heard they are fierce in their natural water habitat.ReplyCancel

AnonymousI could imagine they’d be really fast in the water and not an animal you would want to mess with! It’s an interesting animal to say the least, but I wouldn’t want to make it mad.ReplyCancel
