#FMSphotoaday June 25: Sun Flare

f/2.4, 1/10000, ISO 400

This post is being posted up a bit later than usual, isn’t it? Today’s prompt is Sun Flare, which is something I’ve never done before. To top it off, today’s weather has been touch and go with the sun trying to decide whether or not it wanted to make an appearance. It finally came out when I was at work…of course. So all day I had my fingers crossed it would stay out long enough for me to get home and take a photo of a sun flare. Thankfully, the sun cooperated with me and I was able to get this photo. It is of one of the lilies that are currently growing outside of the house. You should have seen me trying to get in the right position to capture to spot at the same time as trying to avoid crushing any other flowers that were growing. But this is what I got!

What do you think of this photo? I’m still learning so any critique is appreciated and welcomed!
