#AtoZChallenge: F is for Felicia

Photo Originally Taken on November 2, 2013.

It’s time for the letter “F,” which is my favorite day. Can you guess why? Because my name starts with an “F” of course! Just a warning, this post may be a little narcissistic, but that’s kind of okay I guess as long as it doesn’t go to my head. Either way, this is me, Felicia. I took this photo right before my older brother’s wedding. I love this picture of myself and think the ladies at the parlor did a fantastic job with my hair and makeup. Also, I love the look in my eyes. They say something along the lines of “Yeah, I’m gorgeous,” which I should really say to myself more often to help boost that self-esteem of mine.

AnonymousNice to get to write/post about yourself on the “F” day.
I like the photo too. I have very few of myself that I like..ReplyCancel

AnonymousI’m the same way, there are few photos of myself that I actually like. There always seems to be something wrong with the photo so I just kind of shove it to the side and forget about it, haha. I do like this one though and it’s not often I’m all done up like this.ReplyCancel

AnonymousHaha, I love how you described the look on your face, you’re right! I need to appreciate photos of myself more often, or try to at least.ReplyCancel

AnonymousHaha, thank you, Christy! I think we could all use a little more appreciation towards photos of ourselves more often. It really is a self-esteem booster if you think about it.ReplyCancel

AnonymousThank you, Jenny! They did a great job at the salon we had gone to and I received so many compliments. I’m starting to think more people than I originally realized have a problem with photos of themselves. Haha, I have that same reaction!ReplyCancel

AnonymousI think most of us are critical about self-portraits, I much prefer being behind the lens. But then one day someone said to me that if anything happened to me my children would rather have imperfect photo memories of me than nothing at all. I’m still not comfortable with having my photo taken, but I don’t resist quite as much any more!

AnonymousI agree, Suzanne! And I never thought of it like that, it’s good to have photo memories of yourself for others rather than having nothing at all. I’m slowly getting better with allowing people to take pictures of me without much of a fuss.ReplyCancel
