Yesterday, TJ and I decided to take a trip to the movies. Carmike Cinemas is one of our favorite movie theater’s to go to. I snapped this photo using my phone, but I think it came out pretty well. We decided to checkout The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which was a great movie. Carmike Cinemas also had cherry slushies available despite how early we went, which always makes me happy and makes the experience more enjoyable, at least for me. To top it off, it wasn’t too crowded, which is always nice.

Oh, and if you follow me on Instagram, yes, you saw this photo yesterday right after I took it! Thank you for following!

AnonymousIs that the one at Saucon Valley? I have never been there. Congrats on being the featured blog!ReplyCancel

AnonymousYes it is! My husband and I find ourselves there quite a lot, there’s a lot of great stores and it has the best theater, at least where I am. And thank you! I’m excited that my blog was featured. ๐Ÿ™‚ReplyCancel

We recently moved into a new home, which was stressful to say the least. On the last day of our move, I looked up and saw this black crow sitting on a pole. I couldn’t help but think of the Beatles’ song, Blackbird; though if you know the meaning behind the song, it really makes no sense. Even as I write this, I have the song stuck in my head. Moving into a new house has been freeing and though it was a pain, it was worth it. And seeing this black crow represented that feeling of being free and flying away from the old house, to the new.

The day is slowly approaching that Dorney Park & Wild Water Kingdom will be open. It’s an amusement park in the Leigh Valley that isn’t too far away from where I’m living, so we have tendency to make at least one trip every summer…and then again during the fall for Hallow-weekends. Dorney has provided me with hours of entertainment and fun since I was a child. If you’re in the area and you have the chance to go, I’d highly recommend going–especially if you have kids that love Snoopy and the entire Peanuts gang.

Welp, the AtoZ Challenge is officially over and honestly I don’t know what to do with myself in terms of what I should post next. I enjoyed having a theme or a path of what to post next. I’ll figure something out, I’m sure. Either way, onto the photo! This was actually an alternative for the Letter T. BEHOLD! The TARDIS from Dr. Who…as a toothbrush holder. This lovely new addition to the bathroom arrived at our door the day before T, coincidentally. But I had already scheduled a post, so I figured I’d wait to show off the TARDIS toothbrush holder after the challenge was over. We’re hoping to get the bathroom rug soon as well to match.

AnonymousIt is kinda weird suddenly not having a check list! I’m getting back to my regular blogging and trying to catch up with posts that were put aside for the challenge ๐Ÿ™‚ Love the tooth brush holder. It’s so cute!ReplyCancel

AnonymousIt’s VERY weird, haha. No trying to figure out what photo will represent a specific letter. But I’m hopefully going to be able to manage easily enough, haha. I feel like I may start coming up with monthly themes or something for myself. I’ll have to find some daily photo challenges or just keep posting things randomly. We’ll see what happens, I suppose!ReplyCancel

Today is the last day of the AtoZ Challenge. Can you believe a month has gone by already and I was actually able to keep up with the challenge? I must say, I’m pretty impressed with myself. To close off the month, I decided to use a photo I took in September when I went to Bloggy Con (which I will be attending again this year and yes, that’s an affiliate link). We went to Cedar Point for their Halloween event. I’m not a huge fan of haunted anything, but I’ve gotten a bit better with going through fake haunted houses. Either way, Z is going to be representing Zombie High School. One of the many haunted attractions at Cedar Point. You can see one zombie coming out of the door if you look close. And I have to say that I love the one girl’s facial expression, it’s priceless.

Cupcakes are yummy to say the least and I enjoy them a great deal. One of my best friends, someone who I have known for 22 (ish) years, is getting married. For her bridal shower, I was tasked to make a cake or cupcakes. I ended up making these yummy marble cupcakes. They were completely from scratch and I think they came out really…well, yummy! I hope to make them again in the future with a few minor tweaks to the recipe.

Can you believe we’re already to “X”? This month has flow past! TJ (aka The Hubby) said that using x-ray to represent “X” would be clichรƒยฉ and he’s right, but I couldn’t find something else to take a picture with that started with “X.” Either way, this particular x-ray is from a few years ago when I had an accident. I slipped and fell on a wet floor resulting in the tearing of my MCL, ACL, meniskus, hamstring and some cartilage. Yes, it was one nasty fall that resulted in being out of work for almost a year. I would never wish that fall and that pain on my worst enemy.

AnonymousI think that it’s perfectly acceptable to use x-ray… especially such a nasty one. I’m so sorry for your injury! I hope you are pain free with full use of the knee now. Yuck!ReplyCancel

AnonymousWell, thank you, Meghan! I had the injury about 7 years ago, give or take a few months, so I’m pretty much healed. It gives me some problems every now and then still, but I’ve learned to live with it.ReplyCancel

Well, wow (see what I did there?)…I am late! I completely forgot to schedule this photo, but at least I didn’t forget to post it and that’s what matters. Either way, today’s letter is “W,” if you haven’t guessed that yet and I’m sure you have. I decided that “W” was going to stand for “warm.” Happiness is a warm dog wrapped up in blankets and if you get that reference, you’re amazing. So, it’s not the best photo, but I couldn’t not post it because it makes me feel warm. Not just because she looks warm, but because she warms my heart every day (despite when she does something she shouldn’t do) and I couldn’t be happier to have her.
