Bethlehem Steel Stacks Along the River

f/7.1, 1/1250, ISO 400

A couple of weeks ago I was feeling kind of down after getting some bad news. Recently, I’ve realized how much photography helps me to get out of these sort of funks, so my husband and I found a park that apparently had very long trails to walk along. So we spent about an hour or so walking the trails and at one point we found ourselves across from the Bethlehem Steel Stacks. I carefully walked to a small ledge overlooking the river (not wanting to fall into the river…that would NOT have been fun) so I could take some shots. Bethlehem Steel Stacks is a huge part of the area’s history. It’s been closed for a very long time now, but they left it standing and it really is an interesting place to visit. Of course, if you’re not interested in visiting the Steel Stacks and learning more about the history of it, you can always make your way to ArtsQuest or the Sands Casino. But I, for one, cannot wait to visit again to take more photos.
